OUR MISSION
At Curtain Call Playhouse, our mission is to promote cultural, educational and entertaining events through the medium of live theatre, while striving to preserve the highest professional standards. To develop and offer educational programs for children in the cultural medium of live theatre. To develop and maintain community outreach efforts for the underserved segments of our community.
Curtain Call Playhouse is proud to be the most active “touring” theatre locally in South Florida for the past twenty six years, working with over 4,000 artists, and over 3,200 children in the arts. Our partnerships with cities and cultural centers helps us serve over 7,000 audience members a year. Appealing to both adult and family audiences, our mission is to bring the excitement of live theatre to local communities by entertaining seasoned theatre goers, as well as inspiring a new generation.
KRIS COFFELT
FOUNDER, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR and SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR
Kris Coffelt is a member of Actors Equity and Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television Artists. She is the artistic director and founder of Curtain Call Playhouse, since 1996. Her expertise ranges from actress to director, and everything in between, directing and appearing in over 150 shows. She has created, implemented and taught children's theatre programming for the past 26 years to over 3,200 students. She spent over 20 years in the "biz" in Los Angeles, before moving to South Florida. She studied with the Groundlings, Gordon Hunt, Melrose Workshop, and CBS Studios Film Industry Workshop alongside Ron Howard and many other fine professionals.
