Who We Are and What We Offer:

Main Stage Shows On Tour

We mark our twelfth year with great pride as we are in our 2008-09 season! We’ve come a long way!

In December, 1996, Curtain Call Playhouse, Inc. was born of an idea that had been germinating for over 15 years, to form a theatre organization where dedicated and highly creative South Florida talent could hone their skills, and have the freedom to express their creativity. These artists would provide to the community the best theatre experiences, and help develop Broward County as an important part of the cultural scene in South Florida.

Today, we are the most active local touring company, taking our productions “on tour” in two counties, Broward County, as well as Palm Beach County. We currently partner with the City of Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, Miramar, Sunrise, Oakland Park, and The Township Center for the Performing Arts in Coconut Creek. We have partnered with other venues as well such as, Posnack J.C.C., Kings Point, the City of Tamarac, and the City of Hollywood.

Our unique touring situation has certainly allowed us to reach a much wider, diverse audience than we would have ever been able to reach through the traditional one space theatre home.

Children’s Educational Programming On Tour

A large portion of our organization’s focus has changed as well, in respect to our children’s educational programming. Thanks to the efforts of our artistic/ executive director, we have expanded our children’s programming into cities that do not have the ability to offer this type of education to their constituents.

We now transcend two counties with our children’s workshops operating in the City of Miramar, Boca Raton, Sunrise, Pompano Beach, and Oakland Park. This allows many children who otherwise would not have the opportunity, to experience the joy of theatre.

Through our reputation for excellence in children’s programming, we were approached by McNab Elementary, one of the schools in Broward County, to institute a children’s workshop program in their elementary school, and are two years successful with this program.

We are proud and excited to enter our twelfth season, and look forward to many more seasons.
